Warping paddle

A Prairie Coast Weaves exclusive! Warp like Winnie! When you want a one-by-one cross to thread alternating colors more easily or you're looking to manage more than four ends at once, reach for this warping paddle. A time-honored technique that I learned from Winnie Poulsen, she also shared her requirements for the perfect paddle (chamfered holes!). I drew up a design, and Thomas at AK:s Snickeri did the rest, crafting this lovely piece of weaving equipment that could double as artful studio jewelry.

Extra special sustainability story: This elm warping paddle is made from trees in Per Olof and Solveig's backyard, the owners of the Öxabäck workshop. Elm disease struck down the trees but the workshop has a found a way to use every last bough and branch. The color of the elm wood ranges from light to darker brown, sometimes even with a blush of red. Each and every warping paddle is unique.
