A fan reed opens up the stunning design world of ondulé weaving--curving lines and variable cramming and denting across the fell line. I took a course with Winnie Poulsen in Sweden and was simply blown away. Here's the trick: with an overhanging beater like on the Öxabäck Lilla or Ulla Cryus looms, you can install the fan reed in the beater, just like a normal reed. This allows for quicker and more accurate weaving. These reeds have two holes in the upper right and left corners if you would like to hang your reed by a cord.

These are exceptionally high-quality Swedish-made fan reeds. They are an all-stainless steel construction with tines precision-fit into the top and bottom metal frames. This join structure allows you to use every last millimeter of the reed without worry that your threads will catch at the top or bottom of the fan reed. Exquisite.

Reed density is measured at the center (top to bottom). Reed height is 11 cm. 60 cm reeds have 11 full fan sections and two half-fans (at either end); 80 cm reeds have 15 full fan sections and two half-fans (at either end)
